It is hard to believe that ten years have already gone by since Cassie passed away. Some days it seems like yesterday, and the freshness of her smile, her snarkiness, and her love are so tangible. On other days, we realize the length of time she has been gone. We are eternally grateful that she is in heaven with Jesus.
Wow, so much has happened since August 31, 2015.
COVID is one thing that rocked everyone’s world. Not just in the United States, but worldwide. So much craziness, so much loss and pain for many. I am thankful that the Lord took her home before the COVID-19 pandemic affected our world. Had she been here, it would have scared her and stressed her beyond imagination. Thank You, Lord, for being so good to Cassie.
Some Joys!
Judah was born to Cari & Alan, October 10, 2015. Cassie had the delight of meeting her oldest niece, Charlotte (Dan & Gillian’s firstborn), before she passed away. Then on December 31, 2017 Eve was born to Dan & Gillian.
We moved to our current home and have enjoyed it, making several changes along the way.
Tim retired from ProComm, and we started our own two-way radio business, Radios Across America. It has kept us busy.
Losses in our lives
Bill Mrva (Cassie’s Uncle) passed away on October 4, 2020. That was a tough time for the Mrva family. Dick Jones (another Uncle) passed away on October 15, 2021; shortly thereafter, Nick Langley (cousin Kim’s husband) passed away on October 25, 2021. Margi Jones (Cassie’s Aunt) passed away on June 23, 2025.
Other family struggles have also occurred, which have been heartaches for us. But the Goodness of God is real. He is our comforter and hope. We look to Him for continued strength and endurance.
